Biography
I am a clinical medical physicist with an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor (CT track), focusing on education of our future physicists, therapists, and physicians. I joined the Department of Radiation Medicine as a 2023 alumna of the UW Physics Residency program. I provide general physics support including quality management of patient plans from simulation through treatment delivery and upkeep of our radiation delivery systems, with a strong emphasis on the Varian TrueBeam and its relatives.
Currently, I serve as Co-Chair of the TrueBeam Service Improvement Committee. I am also Co-Instructor of the radiation therapy physics course (RT 431) for our interning RTT students, and am a faculty mentor for the Linacs & Detectors rotation for our first-year physics residents.
I enjoy participating in clinical projects to integrate new technologies and processes to advance patient care here at UW. Some of my long-standing roles include managing the MobiusFX software for log-based delivery quality assurance (DQA), and commissioning standard small-field electron cutouts for efficient clinical treatment setups.
