Biography
Jainam is a second-year radiation oncology physics resident. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Makerere University and then attended Duke University for his graduate studies, where he studied Medical Physics. He is interested in Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Radiopharmaceutical Therapy, and Proton Therapy. Originally from Kampala, Uganda, where he grew up, Jainam enjoys watching and playing soccer, reading, and hiking.

What are your Clinical & Research Interests?
Currently I am interested in Radiopharmaceutical Therapy, brachytherapy and proton therapy.
Why did you choose to come to UW?
UW-Madison holistically prepares medical physicists by providing the necessary clinical and didactic training to allow new medical physicists the confidence and competence to perform their duties independently.
Favorite part of residency, favorite rotation, or favorite thing about the program?
So far, my favorite part of residency has been meeting and learning from the amazing faculty, staff and residents of the human oncology department.
Favorite thing to do in Madison?
Sitting by Lake Mendota at the Terrace on a summer evening.
Fun fact about yourself or things you like to do for fun?
I enjoy watching and playing soccer and a big Manchester United fan and also enjoy hiking.
