What are your Clinical & Research Interests?
My current clinical and research interests include proton therapy and brachytherapy. During my PhD, I worked on developing a real-time dosimetry system for electron FLASH radiotherapy. I would be excited to apply the knowledge and experience I gained from that work to future research in proton FLASH therapy.
Why did you choose to come to UW?
As a graduate student in the Medical Physics program at UW, I had the opportunity to interact with medical physicists working in the clinic. Through these experiences, I was inspired by their professionalism, dedication to teaching, and commitment to patient care. I chose to come to UW because I wanted to continue learning from and working alongside this group. I also identified research opportunities, advanced technology, and valuable mentorship within the residency program that will allow me to continue growing as a researcher and clinical medical physicist.
Favorite part of residency, favorite rotation, or favorite thing about the program?
As a new resident, my favorite aspect of the program is its structure, which is thoughtfully designed to maximize both clinical training and theoretical learning. I appreciate that the program provides a strong foundation for residents to grow into clinical medical physicists.
Favorite thing to do in Madison?
Walking by the lake and trying local food.
Fun fact about yourself or things you like to do for fun?
I love watching Premier League matches, especially Manchester United. Following the team has become one of my favorite ways to “relax” (not so much when they lose) outside of work.
