Gemma Davies
PhD, DABR
Clinical Assistant Professor | Director of Dosimetry Physics
Biography
I am a medical physicist board-certified in radiation oncology in both the U.K., where I did my initial training, and the U.S.A. As the Department of Radiation Medicine’s Director of Dosimetry Physics, my primary focus is supporting radiation treatment plan generation and optimization of workflows that result in high-quality, safe and efficient treatments. Additionally, I provide physics support for clinical trial execution and data management for patients receiving radiation as part of a trial. I am also actively involved in external beam treatment delivery and quality assurance of linear accelerators to ensure accurate radiation dosimetry. I am also the physics representative on the GME program evaluation committee, and I run the physics education for the physician residents.
