Biography
I am a professor in the Department of Radiation Medicine. In my clinical practice, I specialize in treating patients with gynecologic, hematologic, and pediatric malignancies. In, particular, I have a busy gynecologic brachytherapy practice. I work closely with gynecologic oncologists, hematologists, pediatric oncologists, radiologists and other specialists to best meet my individual patients’ needs.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am the Associate Chair of Education for our department after previously serving as the Radiation Oncology Residency Program director. I also am involved with teaching medical students and undergraduates. Fellows from gynecologic oncology and pediatric oncology work with me on clinical rotations yearly. I perform clinical research, primarily in the area of gynecologic radiation oncology.
Nationally, I have been active in the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), and currently serve on the ABS executive board of directors.
